The College of Management at Midocean University held a scientific symposium on Saturday, August 8, 2026, entitled “Business Continuity and Economic Security in the Middle East.” The symposium was presented by Associate Professor Dr. Osama Al-Fandy, a faculty member at the College.
The symposium provided an analytical overview of the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East and its implications for both the regional and global economy. It also examined the risks associated with disruptions to global trade and energy routes and their impact on business continuity and organizational stability. In addition, the symposium reviewed effective crisis response planning strategies to ensure the continuity of critical services, while emphasizing the importance of fostering an organizational culture built on preparedness, resilience, and rapid response. It also highlighted the role of institutional leadership and governance in strengthening organizational resilience and enhancing risk management.
